US University academic scholars involved in Nazrul's research work
towards the goal of gaining a wider recognition for his creative work in the Western World.

Professor Winston Langley: Prof. of International Affairs, University of Massachusetts
has already written a book (2002) on Nazrul "A Moral Giant" waiting to be published.

Professor Phyllis Herman: Assistant Professor, Department of religious studies
California State University is currently involved in Nazrul's Study Program (2003)

Professor Roger Buckley: Director & Professor of History, Asian American Studies Institute, University of Connecticut. Interested in introducing and sponsoring programs to promote Nazrul Islam and his creative work. (Program will start in May/June 2003)

Professor June McDaniel, Professor, Dept. of Religious Studies, College of Charleston. Involved in research work

Professor Rachel McDermott, Chair of Asian and Middle Eastern Cultures Department and specializes in South Asia, especially India.

Professor Henry Glassie: Indiana University USA. Involved in research work.

Professor Miako: University of Tokyo, Japan. Involved in research.

Of course, there are a few internationally known scholars also involved in Nazrul's research work. We have only named a very few. The names mentioned here are those who are fully committed to preserving and promoting Kazi Nazrul Islam's vast treasures in the USA, Canada and elsewhre, and working towards gaining a wider recognition for his accomplishment.
